Virtual Court FAQ
WHY DO I NEED TO REGISTER?
Registering for Virtual Court helps to prevent the spread of COVID, gives you an opportunity to be heard on your case quicker, and allows you all the same rights as you would have in a regular brick and mortar court session. If you do not register you will receive a notice via mail that gives you further instructions for completing your case.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT REGISTER FOR COURT?
If you do not register you will receive a court notice via mail at the address on your citation. If you move you will need to update that address. If you do not appear at the time on your notice, a bench warrant may be issued for your arrest.
WILL A BENCH WARRANT BE ISSUED FOR MY ARREST?
If you appear when scheduled no warrants will be issued for your arrest. If you do not appear in virtual court on the date registered you may receive a bench warrant. If you do not appear on the in person court date scheduled then you may receive a bench warrant.
