bindover cases

assault, battery, affray, criminal damage and others

By law, there are some cases that must be handled by the State or Superior Courts and cannot be handled by the Municipal Court of South Fulton.  When someone receives a citation for those cases, they are processed by the South Fulton Clerk of Court and then sent to the State or Superior Courts of Fulton County.  The process is lengthy and could take some time.  If you were cited for Battery, Assault, Criminal Damage to Property, Affray, or other similar charges your case has been or will be bound over.

To determine if your case has been received by the State Court please contact the State Court Solicitor's office 404-612-4800 www.FultonResortativeJustice.org or the Fulton County Clerk of Court 404-613-5085 www.fultonstate.org.

COVID NOTICE: Due to the COVID pandemic some bindover case are still being processed.  Below are a list of cases that are being processed by municipal court.  Upon completion they will be submitted to the State, Superior, or Juvenile courts.  If your name is on this list you should wait to receive notice from the State or Superior court.  They have up to two years to prosecute your matter.
